Regus has opened a flexible office location inside one of Minsk’s most historic buildings – and it’s already at 100% occupancy

The Eastern European nation of Belarus has gained its first ever Regus Centre – which was already fully occupied by local businesses at the time of its launch.

Launched with location partner Colliers International, Regus Minsk Paparats Kvetka has opened up inside one of the oldest buildings in the capital – as the world’s leading flexible-office space brand steams ahead with its global multi-brand expansion.

During times of global economic uncertainty, businesses of all sizes are turning to flexible office space (flexspace) rather than conventional office space. With the option of shorter leases and the freedom to upscale or downsize the amount of space they are using depending on their outlook, both start-ups and multinational companies increasingly value the adaptable nature of flexspace when market conditions are tough.

For businesses seeking to expand their portfolio, the rapidly growing popularity of flexspace makes it an attractive, stable proposition – particularly when partnering with a market leader like Regus, which has more than 30 years of experience of operating flexible office locations around the world. According to real estate firm Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), 30% of all corporate real estate will be flexspace in five years’ time, so now is the time to reap the benefits.

There are many locations around the world where the demand for flexspace is outpacing supply. Belarus is a classic example of this – and the fact that Regus Minsk Paparats Kvetka was fully occupied at the time of its opening speaks volumes. The new Regus location answers the call from local businesses for round-the-clock access to flexible workspace (currently, the majority of locations in the city are open from 9am to 6pm).

“I’m glad Belarus is gaining new flexible office solutions,” says Andrey Alyoshkin, Director of Office and Warehouse Real Estate at Colliers International. “The Millennial generation is evolving the way we work, with remote employment, flexible work hours, mobile offices and co-working. All of these fully meet the need for self-expression through work, and contribute to maximum productivity and collaboration.”

Located next to Minsk’s Independence Square – in the heart of the capital, surrounded by government organisations, embassies and banks – Regus Minsk Paparats Kvetka is moments from Ploshchad Lenina metro station and several bus stops. Paparats Kvetka is a modern, premium business centre surrounded by history. During the Soviet Union era, the site housed restaurants and canteens. It was left empty for decades before Regus moved in, taking care to restore its historic features that includes artwork from the 1930s.

Regus Minsk Paparats Kvetka offers 1,150 square metres of high-quality flexible workspace, including 42 fully equipped private offices that can be leased on a flexible basis. There are also three private meeting rooms and a business lounge with 24/7 access.

Jekaterina Kosmaceva, Managing Director of Regus in Belarus, says: “Businesses, especially innovative ones, are interested in a flexible office space that allows them to quickly expand or reduce the size of their premises when necessary. With flexible office space, there is no need to pay for vacant premises or work in cramped conditions – your workspace can be adapted to create a more convenient set-up.”

Exploring new business opportunities in Belarus is a strategic decision for Regus as it seeks to expand its footprint into new regions. “We’re seeing a high demand for flexible office solutions from both Belarusian companies and foreign business,” says Kosmaceva.
